Co-Tech July Revenue was 419 million

(Aug, 6th, 2012 Taipei News) Co-Tech Copper Foil (Ticker 8358) announced its

July sales amounted to NTD419million,
although there is still a 13.3% decline

compared to the same period last year, sales has improved 81.6% on a MoM

basis.

Inventory adjustment and copper price drop had caused shipment delayed in

the previous month, and shipment is stabilizing
along with the copper price in

July finally. The thin copper foil type made up over 60% of Co-Tech
s total

shipment, among which the H oz and J oz made up close to 46% of total, sales

almost doubled compared to the previous month but still a 8%
declined on a

MoM basis.

The T oz copper foil had the best performance among the slim copper type

in July, and these copper foil are mainly applied on the inner layers of HDI

for smart phones.  In fact, Notebook computers, especially Ultrabooks which

are even thinner, are all trying to break through the PCB yield rate barrier,

and hope to switch to T oz from J oz for their inner layers to further cost down.

Co-Tech major product is ED copper foil which is mainly applied on 3C

products, its major customers are CCL and PCB makers. It has a monthly

capacity of 1,600 tons, the newly added 150 tons capacity will be used to

support ED copper foil for FPCB and Li Ion battery for 3C products. RA

copper foil are largely used on clam shell handsets and NB flexible PCB,

however, as Smart
phones and Tablet PCs have less folding requirements,

FPCB are gradually switching to a cheaper ED copper foil solution, which

Co-Tech hopes to fulfill in the near future. Smart phones will enjoy high

growth in 2012 according to market research. Co-Tech
s new ED copper

foil has been certified by some customers and has started shipment in

small quantity.
